GLOSS OF TEXTS

The texts are glossed in order to explain the principal concepts in a text that is written in your own language to people from other countries. To make this, we put the universal signs  in lines over the words of the text,  writing their signograms.

It is possible to see several examples of glossed texts, as well as foreign language lessons.

This can be made authomatically in a computerprogram for writing text, if we have the Fonts of Signs installed properly.

In order to gloss a text, you must before write it in a computer program for texts with the desired shape of the letters.  You must introduce then an additional line (for the signs) over every line in your text. Moving the cursor on this line for signs until it reaches the position of a word whose sign you want to write, look for it at the English-Gestuno Dictionary (if you havenīt got it on paper, you can download and print it here, or else you can directly consult it on-line here). If you donīt find the desired word, please look for others with a similar meaning.

Once you have found the sign, look for it at one of the 3 Tables of Fonts for universal signs (if you donīt have the tables, you can download them here).

At the option "Insert/Symbol" from the toolbar of your textprogram, select the Font (YoGoTe 1,2 or 3) and look for the sign by comparing with the table on paper. Put the arrow over the sign, and clic over "Insert". Follow the same procedure with the other signs.
